Clinical stage biopharmaceutical company Dren Bio has closed a 350 million dollar private financing round, Wowtale and Pulse 2.0 reported. The investment was co-led by Juvia Group and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Pulse 2.0 described the round as oversubscribed. [1][2]

The financing included new investments from Mirae Asset Capital Life Science, General Catalyst, Cormorant Asset Management, and OrbiMed, according to Wowtale and Pulse 2.0. Existing investors 8VC, SR One, and Taiho Ventures also participated in the transaction. Wowtale noted that Dren Bio did not state a series letter or disclose its valuation for the round. [1][2]

According to Wowtale and Pulse 2.0, Dren Bio will use the fresh capital to fund the late stage development, regulatory submission, and commercial launch of its lead antibody therapy dibotatug, also known as DR-01. The therapeutic candidate is designed as an antibody that depletes disease driving immune cells. Pulse 2.0 added that the proceeds will also support the expansion of Dren Bio's broader oncology and autoimmune pipeline. [1][2]

The capital injection comes as Dren Bio prepares its blood cancer drug program for regulatory submission, with Endpoints News and Dealroom reporting that the company is targeting a potential market launch in 2027. [9][10]
