SereNeuro Therapeutics has closed an oversubscribed pre-seed financing round to advance its pipeline of non-opioid pain therapies. Pulse 2.0 reported that the company did not disclose the precise total raised in the round. [1]

The investor syndicate featured two Maryland-based venture firms alongside a physician investor. SereNeuro Therapeutics plans to use the new capital to advance its lead program, designated as SN101, toward Investigational New Drug-enabling activities, according to Pulse 2.0. [1]

The company will also use the funds to support the development of its second pipeline program, SN102. Pulse 2.0 reported that SN101 is an off-the-shelf therapy created from purified human pain-sensing neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells, delivered as a single injection into an affected joint. [1]

Financing refers to the process where a firm acquires capital from external sources to satisfy its operational cash needs. SereNeuro Therapeutics is advancing its therapeutic pipeline as demand grows for alternative non-opioid pain interventions. [1][2]
