Barcelona-based venture capital firm Enzo Ventures has closed its second fund at 20 million euros, as reported by Tech.eu, Tech Funding News, Capital-Riesgo.es, and EU-Startups. Dealroom reported that the pre-seed fund is near its close at 22 million dollars. The new vehicle targets pre-seed technology startups founded by entrepreneurs from Southern Europe. [1][2][3][4][5][7]

The firm operates out of Barcelona and Madrid, according to EU-Startups. Tech.eu reported that Fund II follows the strategy established in 2023 with the firm's 10 million euro Fund I, doubling its available capital to support early-stage companies and platform support. The new fund has already backed three startups, according to Tech.eu. [1][5]

Enzo Ventures is backing both local teams and diaspora entrepreneurs, according to Tech.eu and EU-Startups. Tech.eu reported that the firm defines diaspora entrepreneurs as founders leaving cities such as Barcelona and Lisbon to establish their companies in hubs including London and Paris. Tech Funding News noted that Enzo Ventures previously backed early-stage companies such as Orbio and Murphy. [1][2][5]

Southern Europe is a region focused on the Iberian, Italian, and Balkan peninsulas along the Mediterranean Sea. The regional pre-seed expansion reflects a broader trend of venture activity targeting European regional ecosystems and diaspora founders. [10]
