Donald Trump stated in a post on Truth Social on Sunday morning that the task force will help protect national interests and improve the lives of citizens, according to TechCrunch. He added that super intelligence represents a shift larger than the Industrial Revolution and the internet. The Washington Post reported that the initiative follows recent public debate and calls for a slowdown in artificial intelligence development. [1][5]

The panel plans to deliver a comprehensive report detailing the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence within 120 days, according to an interview with Jay Clayton published by the Wall Street Journal and reported by The Information. Jay Clayton will serve as the administration's artificial intelligence czar while leading the effort. [2]
