Dallas-based investment firm Disruptive Technology Advisers announced the launch of its $10 billion Disruptive Flagship Fund on October 27, 2026. Securities.io and TechCrunch both report that the firm intends to deploy the capital into growth- and late-stage private technology companies. The firm plans to back approximately 10 companies with individual checks reaching up to $1 billion each. [1][2]
The fund manager will focus its deployment on capital-intensive sectors including artificial intelligence and defense, TechCrunch reported. The Wall Street Journal previously reported earlier in October that the firm was seeking to raise the vehicle and had already secured at least $7.5 billion in commitments at that point. [2]
Disruptive has previously backed private companies such as chip maker Groq and AI voice-generation platform ElevenLabs, according to TechCrunch. The firm’s earlier investments also include major technology companies such as Palantir, Airbnb, and Spotify. [2]
