Nvidia defended its coalition formed to develop and share tools for artificial intelligence safety and cybersecurity on October 9, Tech.eu reported. The US chip maker responded to questioning that participants in the initiative would sidestep safety commitments in a commercial AI land grab. [1]
According to Tech.eu, Nvidia announced the creation of the Open Secure AI Alliance in July 2026. The coalition was established just days after the OpenAI Hugging Face security breach to prevent similar incidents across the technology industry. [1]
Tech.eu reported that hundreds of companies are currently being vetted to join the group. Alliance members include Mistral, Hugging Face, UiPath, Microsoft, Adobe, and Dell, while Google, Anthropic, Meta, and OpenAI are notable omissions. [1]
Nvidia dominates the hardware market for artificial intelligence through its graphics processing units and CUDA software framework, while earlier reporting from FTMQ Startups noted that the chip maker also backs emerging AI developers such as Reflection AI. [3][4]
