San Francisco startup Hone has raised a 60 million dollar seed funding round, HedgeCo.Net reported. The investment round values the five-month-old company at 285 million dollars. Benchmark led the funding round, which was co-led by Index Ventures. [1]

Additional investors Elad Gil, Hanabi, Definition, and Diffusion also participated in the funding, according to FinSMEs as cited by HedgeCo.Net. Hone was founded by former employees of OpenAI and Cognition AI, according to Dealroom as cited by HedgeCo.Net. The startup was established by co-founders Moritz Stephan, Oliver Brady, and Carlo Kobe. [1]

Hone is building autonomous artificial intelligence software called Engines, HedgeCo.Net reported. The startup stated that these systems continuously learn an organization's processes and take responsibility for business outcomes instead of completing single isolated tasks. [1]
