Grok releases seven minute AI video episode of The Odyssey

Grok has released a seven minute video billed as Episode 1 of an Odyssey series, according to reports by TechCrunch, Variety, Mashable, WeRSM, IMDb, and NewsCord. The release comes three months after Elon Musk announced that Grok would produce a full-length movie version of the ancient story. [1][2][3][4][5][6]

TechCrunch reported that Musk had previously promised a historically accurate film version of the tale. NewsCord noted that the project was released in partnership with Wonder Studios. [1][6]

Musk previously criticized film director Christopher Nolan over his version of The Odyssey, TechCrunch reported. Nolan has publicly referred to himself as a techno-skeptic and expressed critical views on artificial intelligence technologies. [1]

The Odyssey is an ancient Greek epic poem attributed to Homer that forms a sequel to the Iliad. The original narrative focuses on themes of homecoming and endurance, centered around the journey of Odysseus to Ithaca. [9]
