Buntar Aerospace secures 16 million dollars to scale defence autonomy platform

Ukrainian defencetech startup Buntar Aerospace has secured a funding round of 16 million dollars, Tech.eu, the Odessa Journal, Dealroom, Tsenzor.NET, and dev.ua reported. The Recursive reported the funding amount as 14.3 million euros. Tech.eu reported that the financing round was led by Freedom Fund and an international growth equity investor, with additional participation from Gardar, Iron Wolf, and Autonomy Capital. The fresh investment brings the total capital raised by the company to 30 million dollars, according to Tech.eu. The startup plans to use the new funds to expand the production of its Buntar-3 reconnaissance drone and its Buntar Copilot artificial intelligence platform, while also supporting new dual-use products and driving international growth. [1]

Buntar Aerospace was founded in 2023 as a Ukrainian defence startup that manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles and software for military drone control. Its products include the Buntar-3 reconnaissance UAV, the Buntar Copilot software system, and the Buntar Skyhopper. [7]

Tech.eu reported that Buntar Copilot acts as knowledge-based artificial intelligence for drone operations. Together with the Buntar-3 reconnaissance drone, the platform has established a commercial deployment base with front-line units active across Ukraine. [1]
