Legal IT Insider, Tech Funding News, SiliconANGLE, and Konsulteer reported that legal AI platform Legora has raised 550 million dollars in a Series E funding round. Tech.eu, Legal IT Insider, BusinessCloud, Tech Funding News, SiliconANGLE, and Konsulteer all reported that the round values the company at 8.8 billion dollars. The investment comes alongside a broader rebound in European tech funding, with Tech.eu tracking over 65 funding deals valued at more than 1.5 billion euros across Europe in a single week. Tech Funding News and Konsulteer noted that the new capital injection comes as competition intensifies between Legora and competing legal AI startups such as Harvey. BusinessCloud added that the valuation milestone comes just months after Legora completed an acquisition in London. [3][4][6]

As FTMQ Startups reported earlier, Atreides Management led the 550 million dollar Series E round. The investment also drew participation from new backers including Baron Capital, Capital Group, and Fidelity. Legora was founded in 2023 under the name Leya by Max Junestrand, Sigge Labor, and August Erséus to develop software that automates repetitive tasks for legal professionals. [8][10]

As FTMQ Startups reported earlier, Legora plans to allocate the fresh capital toward global expansion and software development. [10]
